New Resource Recovery Facility Opens

Derwen Recycling, one of our long-standing customers, has officially opened its new Resource Recovery Facility at Neath Abbey Wharf.

TBSL first started working with Derwen in 2011, working closely with the company to map existing capabilities, predict future market and legislative trends and establish a strategy and plan for future growth of the bsuiness.  In addition to the initial strategic planning advice, our consultants prepared grant applications to support the financing of the plan and were successful in securing £1.25m towards the development of a new £3.2m resource recovery facility that opened in February 2014.  The new facility, providing an alternative to landfill for a signifcant percentage of commercial, industrial and construction waste in the Neath Port Talbot, Bridgend and Swansea County Boroughs is a key piece of strategic waste infrastructure for the area.
