TBSL Wins Coveted Investors In People Award

One of Wales’s fastest growing business and environmental consultancies is celebrating its 10th birthday with a major accolade - an Investors in People award.

TBSL, based in Aberbargoed, provides strategic advice and consultancy support for a wide range of major Welsh projects in areas such as recycling, renewable energy and resource efficiency.

Founder and MD Stuart Watcham is delighted that his business’s professionalism and commitment to excellence has been rewarded:   ‘This validates our approach to working with our staff and to their training and development, which is absolutely essential to our future growth and depth of expertise. It is an independent accreditation of our achievements and provides a baseline for us to improve things even further.’

Over the past 10 years TBSL has seen its services taken up increasingly not only by SMEs and smaller businesses but by larger corporates and NGOs across Wales and other parts of the UK.

Adds Stuart:  ‘We have experienced significant growth over the past few years and this is set to continue.  We have exciting plans to expand our range of services - especially in environmental compliance and training - offering companies support across their operational activities and helping them to meet their objectives.

There is an increasing demand for such services due to greater regulation and awareness of corporate social responsibility.   This award recognizes the achievements of our staff and senior management and provides a springboard for the next 10 years."

Sarah Botterill, the Investors in People specialist who assessed TBSL, said:  ‘Working with Stuart and the team was a privilege.  The assessment was professionally managed and everyone participated enthusiastically.

It’s great to see a growing organization that has successfully embedded best practice people management processes and truly believes in developing people to access their full potential. This is a highly motivated and successful organization that is creating a high performing team to benefit both TBSL and the Welsh economy."
